PDABuzz: T-Mobile Danger Product Coming Soon
The much-drooled-over Danger Hiptop smartphone appears to be close to shipping, with T-Mobile (a.k.a. VoiceStream) the first wireless provider out of the starting gate. According to sources at DangerInfo, T-Mobile's version will be called the Sidekick Desktop and should be available within two weeks. The big news is price: at $200 (the expected tag), the device severely undercuts products like the Audiovox Thera and RIM BlackBerry.
allNetDevices: Microsoft partners with AT&T Wireless
As part of the deal, AT&T Wireless will begin offering its customers Microsoft's Pocket PCs and Smartphones. The Pocket PCs will be available by the end of the year, while the Smartphones will be available in the middle of next year. In addition, the two companies said they have spent the last six months working together to simplify the enterprise implementation of wireless-data services.
