Thursday, April 18, 2002Frank McPherson has lots of interesting links today, especially on upcoming Toshiba stuff. The "Bluetooth Pocket Server" is particularly... odd.
Scratch that, it's intriguing. Personal Area Networks need storage. Imagine a Smart Phone that pulls MP3s off of a Bluetooth storage device and plays them through your Bluetooth headset. Or a high-resolution digital camera that doesn't need local storage.
The form-factor is too big right now, outside of the SCOTT eVEST Uber Geek crowd, but I can see a future for more compact PAN storage.
