Videoconferencing To Go?

Yesterday I posted an item about a wireless videoconferencing convergence device from NTT DoCoMo. Today, Alan Reiter offers a detailed look at the state of wireless video and video conferencing:

A few days ago I was called by a U.S. software company asking my opinion about the future of wireless video.  I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about the short-term prospects in the U.S., but I began thinking about it.  I look carefully at what's happening outside of the U.S.  I began pondering my trips to Japan, the research I've accumulated and I also began to search the Web.

My opinion now:  wireless video is not only do-able, it might begin to generate some real revenues.  It's already generating excitement in Japan, although it's in the nascent stages.

John Udell: Changing Radio upstream locations: bug and workaround

I'm finally moving this weblog to an InfoWorld address, probably on Monday. As a test, I upstreamed to that location tonight, by checking the box here and filling in the form. Everything transferred fine. But then, when I unchecked the box -- because I wanted to revert back to radio.weblogs.com/0100887 until the final cutover -- I ran into a problem. Radio kept on uploading to the new place, and wouldn't forget it and go back to the old place. ...

This is why my former roommate decided to use Movable Type instead of Radio, way back in March. It's inexcusable that this is still a bug.
